ALL Rules apply to ALL Comics in all show. Important  points (2), 3, 4, (5), 7, (8), (10), 12, 18, 19, 20

Note: Our Quick,Some Comedy and Comedy Court shows consists of stand up comics classified as Professional / semi-professional and new up and coming comics (open mic) We have 6 open mic spots per week. Please indicate on sign up form which show u would like to perform in. CC (Comedy Court) QCQ (Quick Comedy) or CC (Adelaide). The special guest comic slots are filled by the promoter. 1) No charge for registration. That's right its FREE!

2) Entry is open to anyone 15 years and older. We have no restrictions on amateurs, semi-professional or professional comedians because the audience is the judge in the Comedy Court shows. Note:Quick Comedy Shows are performance only. Appearances in All Shows will now be done by web bookings only. Due to recent confusion, Walk ups on the night will now be discouraged. We suggest pre-booking via web to secure your spots. Both shows open to single, duo or trio comedy acts. New for 2011 It's Second Chance Semi-Finals! In Comedy Court Competitions, if you have the 2nd highest score on the night, you'll get one more chance to make the Finals in our second chance semi-finals, held one week before our regular finalsThis gives you 2 chances to make it into the Comedy Court Finals

3) There are no auditions. Just fill in the online comic rego form, send to us via INTERNET, then print out these rules and conditions, sign and fax back to us. 02 9546-6074. An appearance date will be assigned to you. Please double check your dates,once confirmed, you are expected to appear. Not appearing could jeopardies future confirmed dates and/or appearances.Please select your Track when registering. Fast, Medium, Slow or V.I.P Track. You must meet your tracks requirements prior to your performance. Failure to do so, may cause u to loose your spot on the night. All comics must arrive by 7:25 for briefing. Arriving late will jeopardise future gigs plus the last person to arrive is always given the opening spot. If you are not there to open, you will loose your spot for the night.That's it. It's not our job to audition or judge u. That's the audiences job! ( Note this doesnt apply to Quick, Some Comedy Quick show.Please see above Note;) If U only want to perform, but not enter competition, just write "perform only" in the group act name section on comic sign-up booking form, we will assign u a date. We welcome all comics who just want to perform as well! Preference given to those who have performed before in our shows of course.

4) Sometimes Comedy Court Finals are filmed, professionally edited and available for the public and comics to buy. Great for marketing and promoting yourself. If u dont want to be filmed for these DVD's please notify us before the show and U will be removed from Our Comedy Court Series and Best of DVD's. Please note not all comics on the night, will make our DVD series.If you would like to have your sets only, Professionally Done, we recommend Dogtown Productions. 5) Chosen guest host performers for Fri and Sat nights will be paid depending on house numbers. $50.00 (less then full capacity)-$100 (Full capacity) hosting fee for Fri nights. Sat nights hosting fees pay $25.00 (less then full capacity)-$50.00 (Full capacity)Note: U must know all house Rules and promotions to host our shows. We recommend studying Show Times, Special up and coming events, in -house promotions etc. Hosting is not just about your routine, it's also about promoting the house and it's events to keep the doors open. Guest appearances at Comedy School graduation nights pays $25-50 (Depending on room capacity). Please inform us if you would like to be considered for a hosting or guest spot and/or comedy for lunch and Comedy school graduation spot. We pride ourselves on being one of the only comedy rooms where a new up and coming comic can have the chance to learn how to MC or Host a comedy night.If U believe these fee's are to low and you believe you should be paid more...we suggest you read on to the next line and see how u can earn more for each time U host or perform. Oh, also all show host must arrive by 7:15pm the night of the show. It is the host's responsibilty to check in and brief all comics for the night of house rules. Want to earn up to $100 per show? Just have 20 friends pre-book any Comedy for Lunch or Friday night show (seats only)and we'll pay you $100 bucks cash on the night! Or Have 25 Friends pre-book any Saturday night show and we'll pay you $100.00 bucks cash on the night. We love giving comics the chance to earn money This offer applies to Phone or web pre-bookings only, no at the door bookings will apply for this cash offer-excludes semi-finals, Finals and special event nights)This deal is open to ALL comics, open mic'ers, host, MC's etc.We often get comics saying they want or deserve more money, but we find the ones that are always making this statement have zero followers which to any promoter means they'll be paying extra to get the same amount of people in that's normally there anyway. Well here's your chance to prove us wrong and make more money at the same time Note If you would like to Host, you must have previously performed in our Quick Comedy or Comedy Court Sydney shows to be eligable hosting, Comedy school graduation and Comedy for Lunch spots. 1 free guest allowed per guest performer and contestant Please notify at-least 24hr before show of guest persons name.

6) Entrants from all heats, competition winners as well as those who make it into the Second chance semi-finals and finals are welcome to try again at the next competition. Just let us know and we'll place u in our next competition line up. There are no restrictions on how many times you can enter. This doesnt include those who have won a finals competition

7) Comedy Court reserves the right to allow or decline a registration for any reason. This decision is final.

8) Although all styles and forms of comedy are eligible, we do ask that you keep profanity and vulgar language at the barest minimum. ANY material deemed racist, sexist, homophobic or anything that seriously offends your audience, will result in INSTANT disqualification from this competition and All future Comedy Court competitions as well as Quick Comedy and Comedy for lunch shows. Note Little to no Profanity in our Comedy for Lunch and Comedy Court Friday night shows is required.

9) We ask that all material be original. Any material found to be stolen or taken from another source will RESULT in your IMMEDIATE dismissal.

10) All first heat performances will be no less then 3 Min's and no more than 6 minutes. All Second Chance semi-final heats will be no less then 5 mins and no more then 7 mins duration. All final heats will be no less then 5 mins and no more then 7 mins duration. You will be given a light when your time is up, going over that time could cancel all future dates and spots. So when U see the Light, exit stage right!  All performers will receive an SMS 1 week before show. Please reply to this sms ASAP. Failure to reply within 24 hours could result in your spot being given to another comic.

11) The audience (with digital voting pads) will conduct ALL judging of contestants on the night. Results from each heat will be announced at the end of the heat. The winning comedian of the night will be announced live on the spot and via the internet www.comedycourt.com.au and by phone. For the Semi-finals and Finals, the winning comedian(s) will be announced live on the night.

12) Each week a 1st place winner and a 2nd place winner will be chosen by the audience. The First place winner advances to the Finals. The second place winner, will get one more chance to make the Finals in our Second Chance Semi-finals. In the Semi-Finals, all the Comics ( 7 ) who had the second highest scores will compete for 1 or 2 spots in the finals. The 2 highest scores in the Second chance semi-finals, will advance to the Finals the following week.chosen by the audience will advance to the At the Finals the top 4 out of 9 comics competing will split a total cash and prize pack worth $750 (invoices supplied by us on the night for paymet) Note: In case only 1 contestant shows in a regular heat, that person will automaticlly advance to finals.

13) 1st Place Finals winner(s) prize money is $150 cash, Dinner at www.Kazbah.com.au restaurants (Balmain or Darling Harbour ) 1 spot in our $2000 Super Grand Final at Bondi Pavilion dec 16th, Comedy Court Plaque. ABN's must be supplied unless doing for hobby, then Name, address phone number will do.

14) 2nd place in the Finals receives a dinner for 2 at Star Bar, 2 Greater Union Movie tickets and $50.00 Cash.

15) 3rd place receives 2 greater Union movie tickets and $25.00 Cash and Comedy Court T-Shirt and 4th place a bottle of Champagne or Wine.

16) Note: Comedy Court's main objective is to give new up and coming comics a great venue to practice and perfect their skills, get some exposure, try out new material and get use to a live audience. Please look at the prize money and prizes as a bonus. If you want to earn up to $100 per show, please refer to point 5 above

17) Equipment supplied on the night will be a stage, basic lighting, up to two microphones and stands and CD facilities. Please discuss your requirements prior to your appearance on stage. No request for additional equipment or changes will be accepted on the night of your performance.

18) Al Finals are to be video/audio recorded. All rights of these recordings are solely owned by Comedy Court and its affiliates. All entrants consent by the act of registering to the recordings. No monies will be paid for this including (if any) all future residuals. If U dont want to be filmed in our Finals show, please let us know before the show and we will remove u from final cut.

19) All entrants consent by the act of registering to have their Finals Show performance (if they make the finals) recorded and broadcast on national television or cable TV. No monies will be paid for this including ( If any) all future residuals.

20) Entrants and/or their guests may NOT audio or video record, or photograph their performance without the prior consent of Comedy Court/Quick Comedy and its affiliates. Entrants agree that any recording so made is for personal, archival use only, and affirm it will not be distributed, duplicated or published in any way, including by download or streaming from websites, without prior written consent of the Comedy Court, D one Entertainment and its affiliates.

21) D'one Entertainment is the producer of Comedy Court, Quick..Some Comedy, Quick and Comedy For Lunch

22) Each entrant selected to appear in the competition shall be responsible for his or her own travel costs and arrangements to and from the place where the competitions are held.

23) All comedians ( Special Guest and Contestants) are allowed 1 free guest on the night. (If we are given their name at least 24 hrs prior to show and seating is available)

24) We ( D'one Entertainment ) reserve the right to alter or change these rules, registration terms and conditions without notice.
